The Turacos are a popular group in aviculture, being easy to maintain in a spacious aviary.
They welcome a fruit and vegetable based diet with the addition of a proprietary softbill pellet.
They generally prove to be free breeders constructing their rather flimsy nest in a basket or open fronted box.
Some pairs will tolerate other species in their aviary such as pheasants or other softbill species.
