The Great Bustard is a species that had sadly disappeared from the UK landscape. Programmes such as the Great Bustard breeding group are working with individuals and other groups such as Watatunga, a stunning new wildlife reserve in west Norfolk. The aim is to establish sustainable captive and wild breeding populations. This and other ideas follow Aviornis’ ideals of collaborative working, for the benefit of aviculture.
